It's oatmeal, but they did something different to it. I think it's baked and soaked in some warm milk with all kinds of berries! Maybe we got the same fruit servings today.
( finn chuckles and immediately reaches for the mocha next. ) And then I have something... it isn't hot cocoa. I think there's coffee in it.
( look, he's not much of a coffee person, but he does need an energy boost for today. )
Yuri, ( finn chuckles, though he still feels a little bit bad that he's enjoying his breakfast while yuri has to be on a different diet this week. )
The coffee won't be good for you. It's dehydrating, isn't it? ( he stops to take a long sip of his iced tea this time, letting that cool him down. it's still warm today, though it isn't as much of a scorcher as it had been yesterday. )

It's okay, though. I'm just not used to... well. Any of this, really, when I'm in the middle of my heat. To be perfectly honest, I've usually existed on just a lot of water and sometimes a protein snack for energy. Like a boiled egg. So this has been nice.

yuri eventually rubs at his face, recognizing the lingering heat as his heat and he huffs out a breath. great, now he's all affected by this. ]
Y-yes. Firm! ( finn calls through the top of his shirt before pulling it over his head and adjusting the sleeves. his outfit is simple, relatively nondescript, lacking any sort of whimsy he tends to wear because he wants to show them all he is someone who can be taken seriously!!
he taps on the door as he plops into the chair to put on a pair of leather shoes. comfortable sandals definitely don't give off the air of meaning business, unfortunately. )
Feel better, Yuri. I'll tell Ayla what you need for lunch when she gets my jammies from last night!
[ yuri smiles, feeling so very content right now, even though his future partner is through a door. he gives the door a soft, answering tap before he flops back over onto his side and curls back up around finn's clothes again, grinning into the fabric.
can't wait to add the jammies from last night into the little ball of clothes.
yuri does fall back asleep, the pain staying away long enough for him to do so. it isn't so bad once he's actually knocked out, but there's a twinge that wakes him up eventually. he doesn't really know what time it is, or even if finn's back yet, and he gets up to head into the bathroom for a little while before coming back out and curling up again, his little bowl of water refreshed with a new towel to lightly dab at his skin.
he really, really hopes the meeting went well. and that no one asked too many questions. ]
( finn doesn't return for some time, trying not to look so bewildered as his mother and a few other near-strangers thrust papers for him to sign here and there. it will be a while before his mother eventually relinquishes the full title and house to him and he's honestly grateful for that. it will give both him and yuri the time they need to truly find their bearings.
he's never in a rush for anything, but he is eager to learn how to be a good husband to yuri more than anything else. today is a good start, even though he's sorry to leave yuri alone for several hours.
but then tea time rolls around and finn is all too happy to bound back into his room. normally, he would spend this free time outside, but he decides to open his windows again to let the air in before taking a seat on an ottoman in front of their shared door. )
[ he's opened his own window in the time finn was gone, electing to maybe air out his room for a bit. the heat coming in from outside isn't exactly helpful, but it's better than stifling himself with his own scent.
(hopefully, the wind is blowing the opposite direction of finn's window.)

( he might be sounding too hopeful now. finn knows that they still have to keep their distance from each other, at least until this evening if not later. but there's nothing he would like more than to share a little treat with his future husband, especially since he has to be nest-bound for the time being. )
[ yuri smiles faintly and hums as he looks up at his window, struck with an idea. he pushes himself up to his feet and goes to his chest of drawers to pull out a robe and hastily tie it on. ]

[ he excitedly pulls a chair over (one still with a cushion, since he couldn't remove it) and he places the back of it against the window, kneeling on the seat so he can lean forward and look out without fear of accidentally tumbling out. yuri turns his head and looks toward finn's window, waiting.
he'll look a little more flush than usual, perhaps, but there's a glow to him all the same. something warm and content. ]
[ yuri laughs and gets back up, turning the chair so he can sit in it sideways instead. he rests his arms on the windowsill as he continues to tilt out of it enough that he can see finn, something in his heart calming down just looking at him. ]
It's only been a day since I last saw your face and it already feels like a lifetime ago.
[ he lifts a hand and absently twirls a little bit of hair around his finger, smiling ever so fondly. ]

( look, the staff are great and his mom is fine, and he's been able to respond to messages from his few friend at home, but it does feel lonelier without him. )
[ his eyes go out to the gardens below them, the scent of the fragrant flowers still managing to drift up toward him on the wind. he closes his eyes and breathes in deep for a moment before letting out a slow breath. ]

( simultaneously, finn is presented with light teacakes and an assortment of cookies he's been caught taking from the kitchen late at night when his cravings strike. he's grateful and he's very hungry, and his butler is relieved that finn is somewhere that isn't on the floor of his suite.
he's shoved a checkerboard cookie into his mouth when he leans over to see yuri showing him his egg. )
