he lifts a hand to hide his smile, though the way his eyes crinkle as he does gives it away anyway. yuri pulls it away from his face and places his hand into finn's instead and uses the hold to pull himself up, not letting go once he's standing. ]
A walk through the gardens.
[ and then he's leaning in a little, pressing lightly against finn's side as he directs them toward the door. ]
W-well, if you want it to be, ( finn stammers, blushing at both tripping in front of his fiance and the prospect of actual romance between them. he hasn't had a single expectation for this partnership other than merely working together for the sake of family strength or... something.
honestly, he would've been happy to get on with the ceremony, do his one duty to his mother, let his spouse do whatever they wanted while he returned home for most of the year to spend it quietly with his father.
given how they seem to be hitting it off, perhaps finn should look into preparing quarters for his dad as well to hopefully find some kind of compromise.
finn gives a spirited tour of the place, a few attendants trailing behind them. he shows yuri the passage to the kitchen ( important ), some of the meeting rooms ( less important ), and where they will have dinner later. the attendants station themselves at the door to leave finn and yuri to their own devices once they reach the gardens. it's lush and gives the impression of wildness while being meticulously maintained. )
[ yuri does his absolute best to remember where everything is; or, at the very least, to remember where everything he'll really need is, like that passage to the kitchen. he keeps his arm looped with finn's the entire time, maybe a little worried about his scent eking out around his patches as they go along. if finn were an alpha, he'd be more concerned about it.
as it is, he's just... happy. to be spending his time, really. finn's a better person than yuri thinks he deserves, if he's being honest, and he hasn't even known him that long.
he takes in a deep breath when they step outside into the garden and he closes his eyes, tilting his head back to enjoy the sunlight and the breeze. ]
( the reluctance he felt walking into this has faded considerably considering how much he has already come to like yuri already. if there is truly no way out of this, at least he will come to care about his future spouse. at least they won't make each other miserable. they might even make each other happy in the long run.

[ yuri gives finn's hand a little squeeze before he pulls away from him to move closer toward the mentioned flowers, smiling more than a little as he leans in to look at them. he turns back toward finn and tilts his head to put it closer to the nearest bud and giggles. ]

[ he turns back toward the flowers again, his head tilting as he reaches up toward the blossom. he doesn't touch it (he's heard that's bad for the flowers), but he does hold his hand near it. ]
You fit in perfectly out here, ( he decides, letting his gaze openly linger on yuri this time to appreciate him next to the peonies instead of shyly redirecting it. ) I'll mention the bouquet to my mother.
( after a moment, he turns a corner and gestures for yuri to follow him. hidden away is a floral archway covered in climbing vines leading to a rustic bird bath. he smiles and actually skips towards it. )
I found this my first day here! I really like come out here and just ... sitting.
[ yuri can feel finn's gaze linger and maybe he straightens his back out a little, stands a bit taller, tucks some hair behind his ear. it feels nice to be looked at so... politely.

( finn doesn't give much weight to yuri taking his hand so much, even if it's more intimate than the typical escorting etiquette. he is rather moved by yuri taking the time to really appreciate something finn has come to take comfort in during his short time living here. )
