he shifts his chair around until they're sitting right next to each other and he leans sideways against finn with a faint sigh. ]

I am happy about it. I always imagined what kind of lady my mom was! But I always accepted the fact that my dad just lost touch with her. I mean, he wanted to raise me and everything!

I found her by accident, you know? But I think she was also ready to look for me too. And when she did, I found out that everything I thought i imagined and all the stuff my teachers said I imagined was real.

I was still in high school and I always wandered. I mean, I still do, but I kind of forgot to go to school sometimes. Which is why I was in cram school before college. But I always saw things I guess other people couldn't see! It turns out I was seeing nature spirits and stuff. They're hidden from regular people usually.
( he smiles again, giggling. ) My mom liked my dad so much she disguised herself as a human to get to know him for one night. But I'm — half tree spirit. I'm not really powerful or anything but that is why plants and animals like me a lot. It's kind of hard explaining all that to someone so ... academic. ( finn grins sheepishly, squeezing yuri's hand. it's a lot and he has to take a deep breath after saying all that, but finally, finally he feels less burdened than before. )

he pauses when finn points forward and he follows the line, his breath catching in his throat at the vision of it all. the glowing fauna, the perfect sunset, the love of his life at his side.

he's still barefoot and enjoys the feeling of sand between his toes, especially on a walk so familiar to him now. finn chatters on about favorite corners of the island, the best place to watch the sunrise, where the gossips gather, the kindest tree guardians, and suddenly his little shack. )
[ everything about this is so very cute and special and wonderful, and there's a small part of yuri that sort of wishes he had people in his life he could share this with that wasn't just their little friend group.
