( finn is a little antsy the entire ride there and even switches the music in his headphones to something more relaxing and instrumental. when they get to his stop, he smiles brightly at the driver in thanks before hopping off.
walking a block to the club, he steels himself, nervous despite his confidence in his relationship with yuri. it's one thing to be shielded by the wall of friends, it's another to be left to your own devices in a place you wouldn't normally frequent.
the bouncer greets him with a nod before finn can even turn his music off and give him his name, much to the confusion of the other patrons in line, fishing their IDs out of their pockets. it's dark and warm in the club and it takes his eyes a moment to adjust to the pulsing lights; finn keeps a hand on the wall to guide himself to the main room. )
[ yuri's got a renewed spring in his step as he heads out onto the floor (after threatening the genitals of his coworkers in the back, of course). he's making his rounds, giggling with some of his favorite regulars (ones who are fully aware he's in a relationship because they're just here for a fun time) about the fact that finn is coming to see him tonight. they give him thumbs up and sharp whistles as he walks away from their table, hips swaying to whatever mindless rhythm is playing over the system.
he spies finn as he stumbles blindly into the room and brightens immediately, doing a little half-jog across the room in his platforms (boo, hiss, he's taller than finn right now) to wrap his arms around his arm. ]
C'mon, cute thing, lemme help you get to a seat, huh? Wouldn't want you trippin' over your feet and hurting that pretty face of yours.
[ the bright pink, cheetah-print sleeves of the whatever-cropped-thing he's wearing is soft, at least, even if it's garish. he leads finn to a table not quite shoved back against a dark wall (those ones are taken), but he's not next to the main stage, either. ]

( he's not sure what's happening with yuri's work clothes, but he still thinks yuri looks pretty. though now he's second-guessing wearing this striped blue and white polo and jeans. it makes him feel like even more of an adolescent, stepping into these walls. )

[ yuri grins and ruffles finn's hair affectionately before he turns and sweeps off back toward the bar, more than a little cheek peeking from the bottom of his shorts. some people might be embarrassed by the thought of their significant other seeing them in stripper clothes, but yuri is anything but; he knows they don't get finn going like they might other people, but he's also confident in the thought that finn's still gonna look, and that's all he needs.
some people would also just never date a stripper, but that's never been an issue, either, and it's something that yuri has definitely drunkenly cried about. probably to bren and the fools.
he returns with finn's drink and smiles as he locks eyes with finn and takes a small sip from it before setting it down on the table, turning the glass so the light impression of his lip color faces finn directly. ]
( oh, he loves it, seeing yuri all gussied up for work. sure, finn's eyes land on his makeup before his body in this instance, but the whole package is fully appreciated.

( he lifts his derriere off the chair for a moment to pull out his wallet, fishing a dollar out. with a shy smile, he tucks it under the waistband of yuri's bottoms, right at the hip where he's directed. )

( finn is quite tickled though, getting special attention from the pretty pink one here. he might be oblivious to any glances from anyone else, but he's certain of this one thing. )

yuri flits between tables, giving the men (and women) at them his full attention whenever he's at one. between them, though, he makes sure to look back in finn's direction, occasionally blowing him a kiss when he can. other dancers go by his table, too, a lot of them just to introduce themselves (the ones yuri hasn't introduced finn to already, anyway), all of them to coo over him. yuri has to dagger-glare one or two away that linger overly long.
now, okay, no, there's no shame in yuri's body about what he does. but it is maybe a little awkward in the back of his mind when he stops at a table offering a heftier sum for a lapdance.

...or do, actually. yuri wonders briefly, as he turns around to sit in the stranger's lap, if watching him do this to someone else like this, without their friends around to distract him, will entice any sort of anything later. ]
( it's not so scary now that he's comfortably sitting there, holding his nonalcoholic beverage out of want of something to do with his hands. the coworkers are friendly enough, though they seem stunned when silly innuendos fly all the way over his head. ( maybe some of them walk away with a deeper understanding of yuri, or something. )
but when someone asks for a dance, he is, well, fascinated. finn tries not to stare openly, not wanting to make things awkward by drawing the client's attention to him. yuri's love for him is something in which finn is secure, and there's not a single jealous bone in his body even when surrounded by people ogling his boyfriend.
some people might question that, but finn is just built different. literally.
he takes a big glug of his drink and swallows, eyes darting around the room before eventually snapping to yuri like a magnet after every scan. )
[ yuri, to his credit, is doing a good job of not letting his attention waver from his customer. he keeps his eyes firmly on the man in front of him as he provides the asked-for dance, his smile as flirtatious as his words. he does, at one point, have to lightly slap the man's hand as it starts to try to rest somewhere on his body and yuri wags his finger with a disapproving lift of an eyebrow. it's always funny, watching them pout, and yuri is poised to grab security if he needs to after that.
but the man behaves, and in the end an extra twenty is tucked into the waistband of his little shorts, on top of what was already given to him for the dance itself.
it's shaping up to be a damn fine night after all.

( finn honestly doesn't know how to act in this case. it's something he's fully been aware of for as long as he and yuri have known each other. it's not something he's ever visualized, and even when they started dating, it's not a situation finn ever thought he'd be in. but the finn who asked yuri to ask him out is younger and greener than the finn sitting there stupidly in the middle of a strip club.
he perks up slightly when yuri returns to him, a few dollars crumpled up in his hand because he had intended to give him a few to pay for a few minutes of his time before forgetting about them entirely. )
